Event Summary
I am delighted that Spirit of the Dance – Дух Танцю Ukrainian Folk Ballet will perform at the 2026 Ukrainian Folk Festival, celebrating 35 years of Ukrainian independence, on Sunday, August 23, at the Tryzub Ukrainian American Sport Center in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
As Artistic Director of Spirit of the Dance, I look forward to sharing a program rooted in the Ukrainian folk-stage tradition and shaped by my ongoing interest in musicality, character, and narrative clarity. The ensemble brings together artists from classical ballet and folk backgrounds to present Ukrainian choreographic art with vitality, respect, and theatrical detail.
Our repertoire includes original choreographic interpretations of regional dance traditions of Ukraine, alongside narrative miniatures and short theatrical works inspired by cultural themes, poetic imagery, and moments drawn from Ukrainian history and literature. Through this balance of tradition and original interpretation, Spirit of the Dance presents Ukrainian culture as a living, evolving art form.
