About the event
Join me to celebrate the beauty of cherry blossom season at the Smithsonian American Art Museum as part of the 2026 National Cherry Blossom Festival.
The afternoon begins on the F Street Plaza (weather permitting) with a dynamic taiko performance by Nen Daiko, then continues inside in the Kogod Courtyard with live DJ stylings by Les the DJ, a ballet showcase by Misako Ballet Company, and a Japanese model train display presented by Japan Rail Modelers of Washington DC.
I’ll be performing in several pieces with Misako Ballet Company and will also be emceeing Misako’s featured performance
segment from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
Guests can also enjoy cherry blossom-themed crafts for children ages 12 and younger, seasonal treats available for purchase from the Courtyard Café, and a spring-themed scavenger hunt through SAAM’s galleries.
Come enjoy an afternoon of music, dance, and family-friendly springtime celebration in the heart of Washington.
