About the event
Join me for a summer Character Dance class at Misako Ballet Studio, designed for dancers ages 10 and up, including adult dancers.
In the context of ballet training, “Character Dance” refers to national folk styles adapted for the stage. This class will focus on Ukrainian dance technique, musicality, style, and choreography, giving students the opportunity to explore Ukrainian culture, music, and movement through this vibrant dance tradition.
Material learned in class will lead toward several capstone opportunities in the fall, including the Baltimore Ukrainian Festival and the St. Matthew Multicultural Festival.
