Event Summary
I am honored that Spirit of the Dance will participate in the Energy Impact Foundation’s United with Ukraine fundraiser at Port of Leonardtown Park in Leonardtown, Maryland.
Spirit of the Dance will present a program of Ukrainian choreographic art as part of an afternoon supporting a practical humanitarian initiative undertaken by the Energy Impact Foundation in collaboration with United Help Ukraine.
The project is working to bring reliable solar power and clean-water infrastructure to rural communities across Ukraine. Solar panels have already been donated, and twelve villages are currently in the active project pipeline, with funds raised through the event supporting transportation and on-the-ground installation.
While the heart of our work within Spirit of the Dance is artistic — preserving, developing, and sharing Ukrainian choreographic traditions through performance — we am grateful when that work can also contribute to something tangible beyond the stage. This event offers an opportunity to bring Ukrainian art, culture, and community together in support of practical assistance for communities in Ukraine.
