SUMMARY:
The Leading Ladies from Ukrainian Literature leap off the page and onto the stage. Nikolai Gogol’s characters Oksana, from Christmas Eve, and Hannah, from May Night, cheer up their distraught friend, Ivan Kotliarevsky’s Natalka Poltavka, who has been promised in marriage to a man who she does not love.
