SUMMARY:
This piece is inspired by Kahlil Gibran’s poem On Marriage from his great work The Prophet. The poem offers truths about navigating love, inviting couples to find sustenance in their relationship while “allowing for spaces between them” and “not growing in each other’s shadow.” Love is freed from its possessive captivity and allowed to bask in the transcendent.
