SYNOPSIS:
Spring of Fate is a choreographic miniature set to the music of renowned Ukrainian composer Volodymyr Ivasiuk. Inspired by one of his most lyrical songs, the work reflects on love remembered as a season that forever returns within one’s destiny, where memory preserves the beauty of what time cannot erase.
Dedicated to the Kazka Ukrainian Folk Ensemble, whose recording inspired the choreography, the duet intertwines personal remembrance, cultural identity, and quiet homage. Gentle, reflective, and deeply lyrical, Spring of Fate celebrates the enduring power of music to carry both love and memory across generations.
VOLODYMYR IVASIUK
Volodymyr Ivasiuk transformed Ukrainian popular music during the 1960s and 1970s, creating songs that became enduring symbols of Ukrainian cultural identity.

The choreography is inspired by U Doli Svoya Vesna, a song reflecting on love that remains alive through memory. The miniature evokes the emotional landscape created by Ivasiuk’s music.
